The course includes live classes with a teacher and access to self-study material on the B1 level. You will work on grammar and technical aspects of the language to make sure that you are enhancing your spoken skill as well as your listening comprehension.

Learning objectives for B1
The B1 Norwegian course is for those who want to be more independent when communicating in the Norwegian language.
The language skills you have already acquired will be improved and enhanced. You will get:
- Improved writing skills
- Knowledge about Norwegian culture and society
- Ability to describe and handle both familiar and unpredictable situations
- Ability to describe future plans and desires
- Ability to express moods, feelings, and opinions
- Ability to make suggestions, proposals and discussing them
Course duration
The expected duration is 4 months. However, each member will follow his or her own individual learning plan and will have the freedom of extending the level if needed.
Accredited language course provider
Lingu is accredited by HK-dir (formerly Kompetanse Norge). You will get a course certificate when you complete the course, which is valid for permanent residence and citizenship applications in Norway. As per the official regulations for online courses, you can be accredited a maximum of 12 hours per week for all online learning activities combined, and 1 out of every 6 hours must be in instructor-led classes.
The classes
As a member of Lingu’s Norwegian course, you can study whenever it suits you. You have access to all classes at this level and you can attend as many as you want!
The Fast-Track Online lessons are held online twice weekly and they are led but a dedicated teacher. You will be studying with the same, dedicated group too, and you will receive guidance on following the program step-by-step, and the Simply Online lessons are to be attended on a drop-in basis and are available from any smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

You may study as much as you'd like during the Fast-Track Online course.
However, please note that according to regulations set by Kompetanse Norge, we can only credit a maximum of 12 hours per week (on average) towards your certification.
