Adaptive Placement Test (A1-B2)

This is an adaptive placement test that assesses your reading and listening skills at levels A1 to B2, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The test automatically adapts to your level as you progress. This means that the tasks become more difficult or easier depending on your answers, allowing the test to quickly and accurately determine the right level for you.

What the test measures

• Reading skills – your ability to understand written texts across different genres and contexts
• Listening skills – your ability to understand spoken language, including dialogues and audio recordings

Who is the test for?

The test is designed for candidates who need to be placed at the correct course level, from beginner (A1) to upper-intermediate (B2). It is suitable for adult learners across various domains such as work, education, public, and personal contexts.

How does the test work?

The test uses an adaptive algorithm that selects tasks based on your previous answers. You will encounter a variety of task types such as multiple choice, fill in the blanks, listen and respond, and more. Once the test is completed, you will be automatically placed at the CEFR level that best matches your skills.

• You will need access to audio for the listening section
