    My tutor. She is amazing

    The Lingu course materials. They were dull, repetitive and some aspects seemed aimed more at children than adults (the rankings tables - who even are these people and why should I care?). There was a lot of distracting music and I do wonder what kind of pedagogy that was founded in. I was grateful to my teacher who found alternative materials for me. I could not have continued otherwise as Lingu was very de-motivating.

    I see that you are asking me to rate Lingu rather than my instructor. I would give my instructor the highest possible score and say that she has been fantastic - but that is largely because she is professional and experienced and knew that Lingu would not be suitable for me. She has been responsive to my needs and challenges and has tailored sessions to my needs, using other materials and her own ideas. Lingu is possibly great for some people, but I am a linguist and a teacher myself and found it irritating and distracting. I have progressed very quickly under Margareth's guidance - she is a real asset to you and you should consider asking her about course materials as she has better ideas than some of those in your course!

    physical sessions are much better than video conference, especially for learning a language
