Our course is suitable for adults of all ages, including those who are just beginning their language-learning journey. What you will learn
During the course, you will follow the Iranian actress Samaneh who moves to Norway. Despite facing challenges, she shows strength and determination. Samaneh is helped by her Norwegian friends and colleagues, as well as friends from her language course. She encounters typical migrant worker challenges in Norway but also gets to travel and explore the country.
The learning objectives include:
- Speaking and write about personal matters and general topics
- Describing yourself and your surroundings, your education and your work.
- Expressing desires, emotions and commitment
- Handling situations related to health, illness and disease
- Reading simple texts and personal letters
- Writing about simple personal experiences and everyday events
- Using basic grammatical structures appropriately in the above functions.

How does it work?
As a member of the Samaneh program, you will study independently online, using Lingu's exciting and innovative language-learning technology based on games.
Our self-study platform is a place where you will gradually receive pieces of new knowledge, then practice the new skill in different games that give you a variety of tasks, and finally pass a short test to see if you achieved the learning objective.

You are welcome to study as much as you want during the Samaneh's Journey course, but please remember that the time spent on this course cannot be and will not be counted towards the official certification.According to HKDir regulations, only instructor-led training courses are valid for permanent residency applciations, and this is an independent, self-directed course.

Although Lingu is an officially certified provider of Norwegian language courses for adult immigrants, our Sameneh's Journey course does not provide accredited hours on certificates for your permanent residence permit application.
If you need accreditd hours documented for permanent residency permit application purposes, we suggest you check out our Fast Track Online or Simply Online courses instead. -
Your individual progress will depend on many factors, such as how much time you have to study. There is an average standard duration for each course based on our professional experience. However, if you need more or less time, you can change levels when you are ready.

B1 level: 4 months
B2 level: 4 monthsC1 level: 4 monthsIf you are ready to move up to a new level sooner, or wish to have extra time on a level, you may do so.

This allows you to study at your own pace.
The Single Player course offers:

- Great flexibility to learn whenever and at your own speed without committing to regular class times.
- Access to our weekly online and in-person Språkkaffees to practice conversation skills with other Lingu students.The Single Player course does not offer:
- scheduled twice weekly Fast-Track live classes on Zoom with a teacher and a well-organized group
- full access to our regular Simply Online live classes in Adobe Connect with a flexible schedule which you can join on a drop-in basis
- an approved course certificate which can be used for permanent residence purposes (with the amount of completed learning time stated).
This course is perfect for you if you are self-motivated, well-organized, prefer to study alone, and do not need guidance from a teacher to reach your goals. This course offers you complete flexibilty about when and where you can study Norwegian.
