What you will learn
Throughout the course, you will follow the Iranian actress Samaneh as she moves to Norway. Despite challenges, she shows strength and determination.
Samaneh is supported by her Norwegian friend, her colleagues, and friends from her language course. She faces typical challenges experienced by migrant workers in Norway, but also gets to travel and explore the country.
The learning goals for the course include:
- Common verbs in the present, past, and future tense
- Basic grammar and pronunciation
- Common expressions related to everyday situations
- Expressing agreement and disagreement
- Writing simple texts
- Reading simple texts from daily life
How it works
As a member of the Samaneh program, you will study online independently using Lingu’s exciting and innovative game-based language-learning technology. Although Lingu is an officially certified provider of Norwegian language courses for adult immigrants, our Sameneh's Journey course does not provide accredited hours on certificates for your permanent residence permit application.
If you need accreditd hours documented for permanent residency permit application purposes, we suggest you check out our Fast Track Online or Simply Online courses instead. -

- Access to our weekly online and in-person Språkkaffees to practice conversation skills with other Lingu students.The Single Player course does not offer:
- scheduled twice weekly Fast-Track live classes on Zoom with a teacher and a well-organized group
- full access to our regular Simply Online live classes in Adobe Connect with a flexible schedule which you can join on a drop-in basis
- an approved course certificate which can be used for permanent residence purposes (with the amount of completed learning time stated).
This course is perfect for you if you are self-motivated, well-organized, prefer to study alone, and do not need guidance from a teacher to reach your goals. This course offers you complete flexibilty about when and where you can study Norwegian.
