Initial assessment and goal plan
The course starts with an assessment session where you and the teacher analyse your level, needs and goals. Together you create a plan for how you can best reach your goals.
Flexible schedule
You combine fixed private lessons with flexible drop-in classes. Arrange times directly with the teacher and choose drop-in classes that fit your weekly schedule.
How FleksiNorsk Premium works
1. Assessment session
After registration you get a short assessment session with your assigned teacher. You get to know each other and talk about your background, work situation, previous Norwegian courses and language goals. Together you decide on focus areas (for example speaking, the Norwegian test, professional Norwegian, everyday Norwegian, job interviews, etc.).
2. Tailor-made course plan
The teacher creates a personal course plan for the private lessons based on the assessment. At the same time you receive guidance on how to use FleksiNorsk and Samaneh's Journey between classes to get as much progress as possible.
3. Combination of private lessons and drop-in classes
In the private lessons you work purposefully on your needs, while the drop-in classes give you extra practice in listening, reading, grammar and group conversation. You get both structure and freedom – and never have to “wait for the others”.
4. Ongoing follow-up and feedback
You can submit written assignments via the digital platform and receive personal feedback. In the private lessons you can adjust the plan along the way so that you are always working towards your goals in an efficient way.
Schedule and location
Drop-in classes (group)
The Norwegian classes take place online in the mornings, afternoons and at weekends. You choose which classes you want to attend from the course menu.
Private lessons
You and the teacher agree on the times for the private lessons. Depending on the package, the teaching can take place during the day or as flexible hours (morning/evening).
Day schedule: 08:00–16:00 Monday–Thursday
Flexible schedule: 08:00–21:00 Monday–Thursday / 08:00–16:00 Friday
The private lessons can take place online or at one of our course centres, or at another suitable location by agreement. Let us know your preferences when you plan the course and we will find a solution. Please note that additional costs may apply for teaching outside our course centres.
New or existing customer?
New customer
If you are new, we recommend that you first choose an assessment session and select “Any instructor” when you register. We will contact you to hear more about your plans and assign a teacher who matches your needs. The teacher will then contact you to arrange a time for the assessment session.
Existing customer
If you already have private lessons with us and want to upgrade to FleksiNorsk Premium, you can choose your preferred package and your regular teacher. The teacher is notified immediately and you can continue the course in line with your agreement.
You can also register together with a friend at the same level and with the same goals. You can then take the private lessons together at no extra cost and share the course experience.
Definition of a lesson
All references to a “lesson” refer to a 45-minute teaching session. The assessment session is 45 minutes, while regular private lessons are normally scheduled as 90-minute sessions (two teaching lessons).
How do I pay?
You choose the payment method at checkout after you have selected the package that suits you. You can either pay monthly or pay for the entire course at once. The prices will vary depending on how many private lessons are included in the FleksiNorsk Premium package you choose.

The times can change from week to week. It all depends on what is good for you and what you and your teacher agree on.

There are a many different teaching methods that can be used for different learning styles. Everybody is different and has their own learning style. Your teacher will find out yours during the assessment lesson and choose teaching methods that match your needs and personailty.

Yes, you can choose private lessons to prepare for any official language exams. We have very good teachers who work with exam preparations every day. They will help you in the areas you want to improve and will help you get ready for your exam.

Yes. If you agree with your teacher to follow the official curriculum, you will get a certificate after you finish your private lessons. This certificate will show how many hours you studied and your language level.
Private classes are made to fit your needs. If you want to get a certificate, the course can be planned so you can receive one.
Please note that there is an additional fee for private courses with accredited instruction hours. -
A private language course starts with a first lesson. In this lesson, the teacher will check what you need and make a plan for your course.
After the first lesson, you will decide with the teacher when and how often you want to have classes. You will also decide the best plan to reach your goal. This will be based on how you like to learn and what you need.

Once your order is placed, you will receive an email from our Customer Support team enquiring aboutyour preferred days, times and location for your private lessons. This information is then sent to the Teaching Department. Although we strive to assign teachers as soon as possible, the capacity of the department fluctuates throughout the year depending on other scheduled courses. Therefore, please allow our Teaching Department some time to assign your teacher.
We unfortunately cannot guarantee requests for a specific date in the coming week.
In order to match your needs with the right teacher, please allow about two weeks for you course to begin.
