Initial assessment and goal plan
The course starts with an assessment session where you and the teacher analyse your level, needs and goals. Together you create a plan for how you can best reach your goals.
Flexible schedule
You combine fixed private lessons with flexible drop-in classes. Arrange times directly with the teacher and choose drop-in classes that fit your weekly schedule.
How FleksiNorsk Premium works
1. Assessment session
After registration you get a short assessment session with your assigned teacher. You get to know each other and talk about your background, work situation, previous Norwegian courses and language goals. Together you decide on focus areas (for example speaking, the Norwegian test, professional Norwegian, everyday Norwegian, job interviews, etc.).
2. Tailor-made course plan
The teacher creates a personal course plan for the private lessons based on the assessment. At the same time you receive guidance on how to use FleksiNorsk and Samaneh's Journey between classes to get as much progress as possible.
3. Combination of private lessons and drop-in classes
In the private lessons you work purposefully on your needs, while the drop-in classes give you extra practice in listening, reading, grammar and group conversation. You get both structure and freedom – and never have to “wait for the others”.
4. Ongoing follow-up and feedback
You can submit written assignments via the digital platform and receive personal feedback. In the private lessons you can adjust the plan along the way so that you are always working towards your goals in an efficient way.
Schedule and location
Drop-in classes (group)
The Norwegian classes take place online in the mornings, afternoons and at weekends. You choose which classes you want to attend from the course menu.
Private lessons
You and the teacher agree on the times for the private lessons. Depending on the package, the teaching can take place during the day or as flexible hours (morning/evening).
Day schedule: 08:00–16:00 Monday–Thursday
Flexible schedule: 08:00–21:00 Monday–Thursday / 08:00–16:00 Friday
The private lessons can take place online or at one of our course centres, or at another suitable location by agreement. Let us know your preferences when you plan the course and we will find a solution. Please note that additional costs may apply for teaching outside our course centres.
New or existing customer?
New customer
If you are new, we recommend that you first choose an assessment session and select “Any instructor” when you register. We will contact you to hear more about your plans and assign a teacher who matches your needs. The teacher will then contact you to arrange a time for the assessment session.
Existing customer
If you already have private lessons with us and want to upgrade to FleksiNorsk Premium, you can choose your preferred package and your regular teacher. The teacher is notified immediately and you can continue the course in line with your agreement.
You can also register together with a friend at the same level and with the same goals. You can then take the private lessons together at no extra cost and share the course experience.
Definition of a lesson
All references to a “lesson” refer to a 45-minute teaching session. The assessment session is 45 minutes, while regular private lessons are normally scheduled as 90-minute sessions (two teaching lessons).
How do I pay?
You choose the payment method at checkout after you have selected the package that suits you. You can either pay monthly or pay for the entire course at once. The prices will vary depending on how many private lessons are included in the FleksiNorsk Premium package you choose.
