I begynnelsen var jeg bare redd for å gå i timen, men etter hvert følte jeg meg tryggere på meg selv.

The interaction and break out rooms. Forcing us to speak and male mistakes is great

Some of the substitute teacher sessions we’re very much read from the slides. I don’t beleive that was Siri. But i guess that’s lack of familiarity. Understandable.

How was this course useful for you?

I progressed enormously and i am glad i stretche myself after not giving a2 enough attention.

I am now speaking a little everyday with others

It was nice to speak norwegian with classmates

The teacher was always late and the breaks she gave us was longer than agreed.

Jeg liker best gruppearbeidet på slutten av timen, fordi vi må snakke og øve muntlig.

Jeg synes det kunne vært fint med litt mer tid til muntlig øving og litt mindre tid der læreren snakker. Da tror jeg det ville vært lettere for meg å holde konsentrasjonen.

Kurset har motivert meg til å øve mer på norsk hjemme, fordi jeg vet at jeg har undervisning og må følge med.

I am not really sure. In the past couple of weeks, the experience has not been nice. I am now thinking of quitting. I am definitely stopping for now.

What didn't you like about this course?

The pace and instruction is based on the most advanced and most knowledgable students. In the past 2-3 weeks I fell there is no teaching - we go through text, discuss only a limited number of words, we do not go over ALL of the new vocabulary. We also do some breakout rooms discussions which I do not find very beneficial - if I am with a more knowledgable student, I just listen; if I am with someone who is struggling, the experience is awful to be honest. There is no differentiation at all.

Det jeg likte best med kurset var de praktiske samtaleøvelsene og gode forklaringen av grammatikk.

Mariann is probably the best language teacher I have ever had. She has a great way of making the classes feel like a conversation and having a dynamic where she is part of the group. It's such a nice environment for learning, which I end up doing without realising!

I don't have too much to complain about.

I am learning to use Norwegian more, I am definitely using more in general interactions than i was before.
