What did you like most about this course?
Ruben has put in a lot of effort in order to adapt the course to multiple levels present in the course. He has adapted the course to the local challenges with dialects both in Stavanger and Sandnes. He is extremely good at keeping both the online and in person group engaged and making the content relevant to us.
What didn't you like about this course?
I think the standart material as part of the Lingu provided materials work very well as an introduction to the Norwegian life and day to day conversations. However, taking the course at work, I would have hoped for more focused content on Oil and Gas challanges - could be introduced through vocabulary, scenarios discussed, exercises. However, this is beyond a scope of this course alone and could be a potential Lingu offering. Ruben has included discussions and explanations but is ultimately bounded by the Lingu material.
How was this course useful for you?
Rubens addition of local dialect challenges, clear understanding of not only the grammatical rules but the linguistic origins through the other European languages and understanding of grammar in other languages made the course extremely useful to not only identify gaps in my own grammar or pronunciation but also receive explanation that are logical and stick in my "engineering" brain :) Extremely useful!

What did you like most about this course?
Being interactive, letting us read&understand, fill in gaps, talk among ourselves. Instructor tries to help when we forget the rule, repeats for us some key moments when we skip the lesson.
What didn't you like about this course?
Being so intensive, would prefer a bit lower pace. For example, having split A1 to A1-1 and A1-2. Also, would prefer all of the grammar we go through to be explained in slides, on top of having examples.
How was this course useful for you?
It helped me to have limited(for now) interaction with local people, understand some news, writings at & outside the work.

A1 level is not relevant for me or for any foreigners at Equinor. The level should be higher. More difficult but also more rewarding as we work for a norwegian company

What did you like most about this course?
Dette kurset er veldig interessant. Jeg lærte mye. Læreren er fint og hjelpsom.
He adjusts the phasing of his teaching based on his students understanding. We can freely practice to say the words, there’s interaction. There’s game too that really makes the teaching more lively and interesting.
What didn't you like about this course?
The course is actually interesting. The Lingu app sometimes is not easy to use such as when recording the voice, you can’t hear what you have recorded that need to log in through the website.
How was this course useful for you?
It motivates me to learn and continue studying the language.

What did you like most about this course?
The teacher has a really open and nice personality. She likes to talk a lot about Norway
What didn't you like about this course?
There is a lack of teacher student relationship where I feel that the teacher even though she sees what exactly it is that the students miss doesn’t put in any extra effort to work on the weak points. Instead she just continues along with the program.
Example: at the beginning of one lesson everyone was asked to say a few words about their weekend.
No one was able to do so.
Instead of focusing the rest of the time on speaking exercises she just went on with new topics joking that she was not impressed by our talking skills.
Therefore the lessons always feel way to rushed. We jump into new topics without having fully comprehended the old topic.
How was this course useful for you?
I started Duolingo premium, try to read Harry Potter in Norwegian and watch Norwegian movies as well as using other A1 A2 learning materials because I fear the course alone will not be enough to pass an exam
