Norwegian Placement Test (A2)

This test measures whether you have level A2 in Norwegian. To achieve A2, 80% or more must be answered correctly.
You can start the test only once. Make sure you have at least 30 minutes available to complete the test.
The test covers listening, reading and grammar.
The result of the test will be sent to you by email after the test is completed.

80% or more: A2

About level A2
You can participate in simple conversations about common and practical activities that you are familiar with. You can read and understand short, simple texts related to your work. You can write short, simple messages and describe experiences and events using simple phrases and sentences.

The terms A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A1 is the lowest level, while C2 is the highest level.

Choose a course at the appropriate level
If you register for a language course, choose a level that is above the level of your results. If the test states that you are at a A2 level, choose a course at the B1 level.
