Norwegian Placement Test (A1)

This test shows whether you have reached level A1 in Norwegian. You need 80% or more correct answers to reach A1.

The test covers listening, reading and grammar. You can start the test only once, so set aside at least 30 minutes before you begin.

We send you the result by email when you have finished the test.

About level A1
You can understand and use familiar, everyday words and expressions. You can take part in a simple conversation if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.

A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 are the levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A1 is the lowest level and C2 is the highest.

Choose the right course
If you reach A1, choose a course at the next level, A2. If you do not reach A1, choose a course at level A1.
