Norwegian Placement Test (B1)

This test shows whether you have reached level B1 in Norwegian. You need 80% or more correct answers to reach B1.

The test covers listening, reading and grammar. You can start the test only once, so set aside at least 30 minutes before you begin.

We send you the result by email when you have finished the test.

About level B1
You understand the main points of written and spoken Norwegian about familiar topics from work, school and leisure. You can manage most everyday situations, write simple texts on familiar topics, and briefly explain and give reasons for your opinions and plans.

A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 are the levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A1 is the lowest level and C2 is the highest.

Choose the right course
If you reach B1, choose a course at the next level, B2. If you do not reach B1, choose a course at level B1.
